Art Calgary 2018 is the inaugural commercial art fair for professional artists and will run at cSPACE King Edward from March 15 to 17, concurrently with People’s Portrait Prize 2018.

The goal of the art fair is to show the range of contemporary artwork being produced by Calgary artists and to act as a catalyst for meaningful, on-going critical discussions about visual art and its place in Canada. The keynote speech will be given by Todd Hirsch, ATB Financial's Chief Economist on Friday, March 16 and exhibiting artists will given the opportunity to speak over the weekend.

Art Calgary will be showing the original artwork of 16 local artists who were juried into the show based on the quality and professionalism of their artwork and applications. The show is a curated, gallery style event where visitors can view the artwork and to speak with the artists who create it.

Art Calgary is a free event open to the public.

Art Calgary is a professional, contemporary art fair, designed to exhibit recent work by unrepresented artists and to provide an opportunity for artists to showcase their work and connect with collectors, galleries and art enthusiasts.
