With an emphasis on communication through the visual language of colour, shape, line and form, Abstract art has been offering an alternative take on artistic practice since the 19th century. The Federation of Canadian Artists (FCA) is a non-profit registered charity, founded in 1941 by Members of the group of Seven. Today, at over 2,000 members strong, the FCA exists to support emerging and established artists in Canada, as well as promote the visual arts throughout the country.
