Alistair Rance: Everett Series

Alistair Rance, an Armstrong, BC-based artist will exhibit a body of abstract paintings in the exhibition titled "Everett Series." Rance’s studio practice is based on an employment of linear elements (lines) as the main means for production of paintings. While the structures of his artwork are loosely based on landscape patterns, repeated layering and interpolation of linear elements, the result includes abstract structures devoid of any representational references. Rance’s work will further contribute to the discourse about abstraction and relational aesthetics.
