CACGV ART APPRAISAL FUNDRAISER

This one day art appraisal features local experts who will provide a verbal appraisal.
Experts in local and Canadian art, First Nations and Inuit art, from historic to contemporary works. Find out some of the history of your “treasures”, and considerations about doing further research and documentation of the items, insurance , handling and storage, and potential to grant or sell these items. The three appraisers are independent, and there is no obligation to sell works through them:
Tom Stark, from Out of the Mist Gallery, with over 35 years of experience with classic and contemporary native American and world tribal art. Tom is called on by museums and collectors across the world.
Michael Warren, Owner and Director of Madrona Gallery, with expertise in Canadian art and particularly contemporary and Inuit art and works with individuals and corporations.
John Russell, with over 30 years of experience, specializes in local and Canadian . John has evaluated collections for individuals, institutions across Canada valued up to $2.5 million.
Proceeds go to the Community Arts Council of Greater Victoria, to support our efforts to celebrate and encourage local arts.
Each Appraisal will take approximately 5 minutes.
