The Slide Room Gallery is located on the lower level of the Vancouver Island School of Art and is open to the public during school hours (Monday - Friday, 9 am - 5 pm or by appointment). The gallery focuses mainly on group shows of local artists and openings are on Friday night at 7:30 pm (usually once per month). The gallery is also part of the school's curatorial program where VISA students learn the basics of running a non-profit art gallery as well as curate their own exhibitions. Proposals are accepted on a year round basis.
