At the heart of my practice lies an appreciation for process-based creation and learning new mediums. This body of work aims to combine applications of mindfulness and intuition while exploring unpredictable interactions between paint, colours, and medium. While making each piece I am able to engage in the physical process of creating sustained line by paying close attention to minute movements of my body. My colour and medium choices are intuitive and decided upon with each new line which creates a degree of discovery with each piece. It is as though I am in conversation with the media as they tell me what they want to become. Working this way allows me the freedom to relieve myself of the expectations of a finished piece and enjoy all of efforts that go into creating it.
