Exhibit, Artist Talk, Reception: Queer Newfoundland Hockey League by Lucas Morneau
to
Saskatchewan Craft Council Gallery 813 Broadway Ave, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan S7N 1B5
Queer Newfoundland Hockey League (QNHL) is a fictional hockey league made up of fourteen teams, all of which use pejoratives used against the 2SLGBTQIA+ community as team names. Through crocheted and rug hooked hockey jerseys, queered hockey cards, and crocheted goalie masks, artist Lucas Morneau (they/he) reclaims slurs often used against queer individuals both on and off the ice.
