Artist Biography:
Glenda MacPhee’s artistic evolution started 40 years ago in an Alberta high school art class. Since then she has trained as an art therapist. It was this training that made her realize the sublimation of creativity and how an artist accesses the mind “visual eye”. She creates abstract impression and uses nature and earth to inspire the unconscious pictures hidden within.
Artist Statement:
“My paintings are abstract impression of “mother” earth. I have accessed the unconscious elements of the mind’s “unusual eye” combined with the elements of earth, water, fire, ice, rock. My creations are a mixture of sleep, emotions and colours which display the harsh perceptions of earth’s strength and beauty.”
