Hanna Reimer, winner of the 2018 University of Manitoba Student Scholarship Award, will present her work and a public artist talk this Saturday September 15th. Her work will be showcased in the Martha Street Studio gallery Project Space for the month of September.
Hanna is a multidisciplinary artist going into her third year at the School of Art at the University of Manitoba. She often deals with topics of language, disconnect, and awareness in her pieces. Texture, pattern, and a hands-on process are very important to her practice. Most of her work has been experiments with fabric, silkscreen, ceramics, and painting. Her most recent work is involved with linocut prints and embossing.
Hanna is also a member of the Actually Milk Art Collective, who had their first exhibition in December of 2017 and recently had an exhibition in the Gallery of Student Art at the University of Manitoba.
