Fred Bahr:The Inner Eye
to
The Grace Campbell Gallery 125 12 St E, Prince Albert, Saskatchewan S6V 1B7
On display are paintings done in various mediums. His paintings often capture his rural and urban surroundings.
Fred Bahr was born in Yorkton and received his education at Broadview and Regina. Painting and drawing as a child was always encouraged. However, this was put aside in favour of pursuing his career choice in science.
In 1984, he was given a gift of painting lessons from Sadie Cennon and this restarted the art urge. Courses continued at the Art Centre, Kenderdine, and Echo Valley. He became a member of the Round Lake and Kyla Art Groups. In 1998, he received from Kiwanis the Mel Osborne Fellowship award for work done through Kyla and Community Service.
He has had numerous group and solo shows and his paintings have been displayed in Saskatchewan Calendars and have been on a Rural Saskatchewan Tour. His paintings are displayed in many homes in Canada, the United States, and Scotland.
