The practice of osteomancy is a form of divination where bones are cast to discover truths and learn of the future.
This show is a continuation of my ongoing project Pilgrimage of Stories and Stones which is based on my research trip to Scotland where I focused on medieval history, magic, and ancient Celtic culture.
For this collection, I focused on using bones and eggshell as my primary mediums, both remnants of life, both equally strong and fragile. The symbols and objects used harken to medieval imagery and magical symbolism, often blended together. My goal was to explore these mediums in depth and create work that carries a story or truth behind it.
