June First Thursday
to
Fort Gallery 9048 Glover Road, PO Box 685, Fort Langley, British Columbia V1M 2S1
On the first Thursday of each month, The Fort Gallery hosts a variety of visual artists, writers and poets, and musicians from the local community who share their gifts and creations.
On June 2nd, we are pleased to welcome Bev Mill, who was one of the Freedom Riders in the USA during the segregation protests in the early 1960’s. She has been honored by President Obama for her participation in them. She will tell about her life and how she became involved in standing up for racial equality.
As well, several artists from our current exhibit “The Plein Air Affair” will talk about their work.
The Fort Gallery thanks the Township of Langley for sponsorship of First Thursday community arts events.
Gallery hours are Wednesday to Sunday, noon-5pm
