Autospect is a collection of print-based work that presents ambiguous narrative imagery about the artist’s introspective nature. These pieces incorporate physical representation interjected with imagined concepts, based on notable experiences throughout his life. The result questions the legitimacy of perception.
A recent graduate of the Alberta College of Art + Design, Kale Vandenbroek builds imagery through traditional print processes. His disjointed narratives examine personal experience and strive to externalize internal struggle. Various pieces have been shown in Japan, China, Finland, and within Canada, with a piece in the collection at the Tama Art University in Tokyo.
