Diane Kehoe and her partner John Eastman were ardent collectors of Inuit prints and drawings. For many years, they were the first ones into the gallery to view the annual print collection and to see new drawings that the gallery acquired. Often joking that she was "cursed" with perfect vision, Diane looked at prints and drawings with a meticulous eye for composition and detail and always chose artworks that were beautifully executed by the artist and the printmaker.
A gifted artist and martial arts teacher herself, Diane looked for compositional balance and was always searching for prints or drawings that were the best available example of the artist's work in her view. Diane Kehoe's appreciation of Inuit graphic art, her curatorial eye, and sense for artistic quality is obvious in this collection that the Gallery is very happy to present.
