Lecture by Mariatu Kamara

Kamara will share her personal story of how she survived a rebel attack in Sierra Leone that left her with no hands. Kamara now lives in Toronto and is UNICEF Canada's Special Representative for Children in Armed Conflict.
This lecture is in conjunction with the exhibition Eleven Women Facing War, an exhibition of photographs by Nick Danziger for the International Committee of the Red Cross, presented by The University of Calgary. The exhibition is on display in The Founders' Gallery at The Military Museums.
