Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Since 1978, Ken has had a great interest in photography and has learned to compose and present artistic photographs depicting the beauty of man-made and natural environments. Using the correct exposure, photographs show a mastery of light and dark.
Viewers of this exhibition will feel a sense of optimism after viewing the large metallic photographs set in floating wood frames. Smaller ultra violet coated metallic prints in wood frames compliment traditional matted and framed photographs. People will see how to view the world in a new way.
Ken Tickner was born and raised in Prince Albert. He began his artistic career working as an architectural technologist for local engineering and architectural companies. Now living in Saskatoon, he enjoys a second career as a photo artist. Life experiences, whether on his own or learning with other individuals, have formed a unique vision of the world – yours to enjoy.
Bill Oleniuk has contributed to Ken’s photographs as an image manipulator by combining two or more photographic images into one composition which creates a photo collage. Bill has been doing this work for approximately twenty-five years.
