Sam Knopp’s upcoming exhibition “Relocations” is both a reference to her recent personal geographic transition (moving back to Alberta after living and studying in Vancouver for the past seven years) as well as her approach to ceramics itself, as she “relocates” the materials and aesthetics of studio pottery with those of our mass-produced and industrially orientated culture.
