The Salt Spring National Art Prize (SSNAP), is excited to announce the opening of submissions for the 2025 edition! With $52,000 in awards available, SSNAP continues to celebrate and support the incredible talents of Canadian visual artists.
Since 2015, the Salt Spring National Art Prize Society, a non-profit charitable organization, has been dedicated to celebrating and supporting Canada’s exceptional artistic talent. Through our biennial art prize, we provide a national platform for both emerging and established artists, showcasing diverse creativity and fostering connections within the art community.
SSNAP highlights original, innovative work across a variety of mediums, selected by a distinguished jury of art professionals. Finalists are featured in a public exhibition on Salt Spring Island, BC, where their work gains exposure to audiences nationwide. The prize emphasizes artistic excellence while celebrating the richness of Canadian art and culture.
Beyond the competition, SSNAP fosters dialogue, community engagement, and a shared appreciation for the transformative power of art, contributing to the vibrancy of Canada’s cultural landscape.
