Avis Rasmussen, contemporary printmaker, graduated from University of Victoria, completed a residency in Italy, and has been an active member of Ground Zero Printmakers with numerous exhibitions across Canada and travelling extensively through Europe. Her small edition Reduction Linocuts are carved in reverse then printed one colour at a time on BFK Rives rag paper.

Alanna Sparanese has mastered the 2000 year old encaustic technique of layering bees wax, resin and oil pigment then fusing it together with her blow torch. Her pieces attain a dimensional quality, revealing a transparent luminosity both visceral and tactile. She is inspired by the inherent beauty of nature, the movement of birds and her surroundings. The dreamlike quality of her imagery is both real and imagined.
