September First Thursday
to
Fort Gallery 9048 Glover Road, PO Box 685, Fort Langley, British Columbia V1M 2S1
On the first Thursday of each month, The Fort Gallery hosts a variety of visual artists, writers and poets, and musicians from the local community who share their gifts and creations. On September 7th, we are pleased to welcome drummer Michelle Puckett.
Michelle, aka Drumfoot, is known as an explorer and adventurer in the realm of music. She has been playing and teaching drums for over 25 years, and travelling all over the world playing with a variety of bands. Music has always been a metaphor in her life and rhythm the driving force to creativity. Michelle currently plays with the band “The Damn Chandelier”.
Also featured at this month’s First Thursday are many of the artists (both gallery members and other local textile artists) from the gallery’s group textile exhibit. Textile Takes runs August 30-September 17, 2017.
The Fort Gallery thanks the Township of Langley for sponsorship of First Thursday community arts events.
