Landscape, figure and still life paintings are all interpreted in a highly energetic and linear style for which the artist has become well known.
Extensive travels in Canada and Great Britain have enriched her experience and helped her create a very personal and vibrant vision. Her use of ink, paint washes and thick strokes of colour are characteristic of her approach to paintings.
Shannon Craig Morphew was born in St. John’s, Newfoundland in 1977. Her studies included courses at Sheridan College in pottery and furniture and concluded with painting and sculpture at OCA in 2001. This will be her fourth solo exhibition with the Loch Gallery.
