"The areas that I choose to paint are often in the high alpine country such as at Thunderwater Lake where the calving glaciers that fall into the lake give a thundering sound. During August, Thunderwater is at its most spectacular; the alpine flowers are at their peak and the glacier melt water is at its most ferocious where spectacular water falls roar." - Jerry Heine
