Opening on June 4th, Coastal Peoples Gallery welcomes you to visit us in Gastown to explore our newest exhibition Yeomans Trilogy: Enduring Spirits.

This superb multi-media collection is the culmination of three dedicated years of contributions from renowned Haida artist Don Yeomans, his immensely innovative wife Trace (Haida + Ukrainian) and their talented son Kyran.

During the artistic process that took place throughout a global pandemic, the Yeomans trio possessed an unwavering commitment to create a body of work that speaks to the strength and endurance of family spirit. The collaboration and convergence of each artist’s styles were influenced by their confined time spent together along with shared inspirations. ⁠

While observing Don, Trace, and Kyran’s exceptional work as they progressed, many emotions came into play; anticipation, exhilaration, and admiration. Clearly, their artistic development has extended beyond the traditional to explore the use of modern materials, concepts, and themes with a resolute focus and vision. Through their personal pursuits and unique aptitudes, complex ideas have materialized into single, multi-media, and collaborative artworks highlighting their respective specializations.
