Collector Tony Luppino and IAIN BAXTER& - the &MAN Spend an Afternoon Coloring Together
In 1979 IAIN BAXTER& - the &MAN made an etching in an edition of 10 with the famous San Francisco-based print publisher Crown Point Press. Titled Color/Language Participatory Etching, the minimal four-color etching was designed to be colored by whomever acquired the work in whatever manner the owner felt suitable.
Recently, collector Tony Luppino invited IAIN BAXTER& - the &MAN, who was in Calgary for his exhibition at TrépanierBaer, to help him color the work. The event took place in the gallery’s Viewing Room on a sunny fall afternoon
IAIN BAXTER& - the &MAN 50 Years & On comes to a close at TrépanierBaer, on Saturday, November 16.
