Part of a dying breed, Calgary landscape photographer Allan King uses a large-format camera to produce antiquarian platinum prints as well as black-and-white images made with silver gelatin photographic papers. “My goal is to keep the craft and art of making both platinum and black-and-white prints alive through my workshops and exhibitions and capture as much iconic Canadian content in these two mediums as possible for future generations,” he says.
