Andra Ghecevici explores notions of trespass as she reconsiders landscape traditions in Transcendence, a collection of paintings and charcoal drawings on canvas. Ghecevici draws inspiration from her travels in Western Canada. “It always feels like nature is giving me lessons on all the glory of its contrasts and blends of elements and colour,” she says. “Even a dead tree will make one fall in love with life.” Born into a family of artists in Romania, Ghecevici earned a fine arts degree in her homeland before relocating to Canada in 2006.
