In The Garden of Earthly Delights, Juan Ortiz-apuy creates large-scale collages made from clippings from magazines and sales catalogues in order to explore advertising and commodity fetishes. Ortiz-apuy was born in Costa Rica in 1980 and has a Master’s degree from NSCAD University in Halifax. He has lived in Montreal since 2003 and exhibits his work across Canada and internationally.
