Marleen Vermeulen trained as an artist in the Netherlands and settled two decades ago on B.C.’s Sunshine Coast, where she explores the area’s natural history. “The beauty of the landscape talks to me,” she says. “My goal is to capture the beauty, the moment, and the feeling the landscape shares with me, so I can share that experience with others.”
