Five finalists have been named for the Emerging Digital Artists Award, a national award for critical experimentation in digital media.
They are Alyssa Bornn, of Winnipeg; Ahreum Lee, of Montreal; Jordyn Stewart, of Beamsville, Ont.; Colton Hash and Claire Scherzinger, both of Victoria.
The works were selected by a national jury of digital media artists, programmers and practitioners.
The winner, who receives $5,000 and will be included in a theme commission program at Trinity Square Video, an artist-run centre in Toronto, will be announced Sept. 20.
Other finalists will each receive $1,000.
An exhibition by the five finalists will be presented at Trinity Square Video from Sept. 6 to Sept. 28.
