Kablusiak, a Calgary-based Inuvialuk artist, is the winner of the Fogo Island Arts-Sobey Art Award Residency.
The residency, now in its second year, allows one finalist for the Sobey Art Award to attend a residency on Fogo Island, Nfld.
Kablusiak engages with cultural identity and diaspora using various media, including drawing, sculpture, performance and photography.
The Sobey Art Award is open to Canadian artists aged 40 and under and awards a top prize of $100,000.
