The Honourable Marlin Schmidt, Minister of Alberta Advanced Education, has appointed Carol Ryder as Board Chair and Dale Turri as the latest member of ACAD's Board of Governors.
Carol Ryder is returning to the ACAD Board of Governors as the Chair for a second term. She has demonstrated superior leadership across board governance and a passion for, and an understanding, of ACAD. Carol is a strong advocate for the arts and post-secondary education and has a diverse wealth of business and community experience locally, provincially, and nationally. The institution welcomes Carol back to the ACAD Board of Governors, and looks forward to the continuing progress under her leadership.
Dale Turri comes to ACAD with over 25 years of professional experience working with the arts as a fund development professional, board member, and advocate. She is a well-respected mentor and advisor who specializes in the areas of strategic resource development, community investment, and board governance. The institution will benefit from her knowledge and expertise over her three-years of her term.
ACAD thanks Ms. Susan Thomas, Acting Board Chair, for her guidance and support over the last six months. Her leadership was a guiding force during the past year.
These recent appointees complete our Board roster and come at a critical time for our institution,” said ACAD President + CEO Dr. Daniel Doz. “We welcome Carol and Dale and look forward to confidentially moving forward with our strategic plan.”
