The Alberta College of Art and Design and the Lodgepole Center, ACAD’s Indigenous resource space, have partnered with the Tsuut’ina Nation to offer a free course on the Dené language.
Taught by Tsuut’ina language commissioner and elder, Bruce Starlight, the program is supported with funding from the federal government.
"Understanding and appreciating yourself through language is a stepping stone to creativity,” said Starlight.
The 10-week course, which runs Oct. 10 to Dec. 12, is open to the general public.
