AGA receives Canadian Museums Award for Outstanding Achievement

EDMONTON, AB (May 1/12) – Each year, the Canadian Museums Association (CMA) is proud to celebrate excellence in the Canadian museum field through its Outstanding Achievement Awards program. The 2011 awards were presented on April 25, 2012 to recognize professional achievement and excellence in the museum sector.
The Art Gallery of Alberta is proud to announce that it was a recipient of the Award for Outstanding Achievement in Management for the "National Gallery of Canada (NGC) at the Art Gallery of Alberta (AGA)" exhibition series. This award was shared with the National Gallery of Canada, as well as the Museum of Contemporary Canadian Art in Toronto for their partnership with the NGC.

We are delighted to receive recognition from CMA and thank Capital Power Corporation for supporting this award-winning exhibition series,” comments Catherine Crowston, Acting Executive Director and Chief Curator for the AGA.
