The Alberta government is moving the Month of the Artist from January to September to align with Culture Days celebrations held each fall.
Alberta’s Month of the Artist is an annual celebration of artists and their contributions to the province, while Alberta Culture Days is an annual three-day event on the final weekend of September.
Alberta’s artist in residence program, announced in conjunction with the province’s first Month of the Artist last year, will also move to September.
