Alberta Society of Artists Appoints Honorary Members

The Alberta Society of Artists has appointed 21 people and organizations as honorary associate members in recognition of their support for the visual arts.

Among the honorary members are arts educator Ann Calvert, curator Anne Ewen, artist Seka Owen and art historian Nancy Townshend, as well as art dealers Angela Bugera, Deborah Herringer Kiss, Christine Klassen and Anna Ostberg. 

Also on the list are Tom Tait, the publisher of Galleries West, and Portia Priegert, the magazine's editor.

The society is a registered charity with a membership of professional visual artists who work to increase public awareness and appreciation of the visual arts in Alberta through exhibitions and education.
