Robert Archambeau is the 10th recipient of the Manitoba Arts Award of Distinction. The $30,000 prize from the Manitoba Arts Council recognizes Archambeau’s achievements as a potter and ceramic artist.
Alberta artist Brenda Draney has won the Eldon and Anne Foote Edmonton Visual Arts Prize, valued at $10,000.
Shaira (S.D.) Holman, a photo-based artist, has received a YWCA Women of Distinction Award for her work as founder and artistic director of Vancouver’s Queer Arts Festival.
