Andrew Kear and Radovan Radulovic Assume Key Roles at WAG

The Winnipeg Art Gallery is pleased has announced the appointment of Andrew Kear as Chief Curator and Radovan Radulovic as Head of Museum Services, effective April 1. Kear will retain his position of Curator of Canadian Art, while Radulovic moves from Head of Conservation into his new role.

Andrew Kear

Andrew Kear holds Masters of Arts in Canadian Art History from Carleton University and Philosophy from the University of Toronto, as well as a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design. Kear joined the WAG in 2008 and has curated such exhibitions as Karl Funk (2016), Esther Warkov: Paintings (2016), Dalí Up Close (2014), and William Kurelek: The Messenger (2011). Kear also serves as a sessional instructor at the University of Winnipeg in the Department of Art History.

· The Chief Curator oversees exhibition selection and planning, the Clara Lander Library and Archives, and the permanent collection.

Radovan Radulovic

Radovan Radulovic joined the WAG in 2001 as Conservator, becoming Head of Conservation in 2011. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Art with a major in Painting Restoration and Conservation from the Academy of Applied Arts and Design, Belgrade, Yugoslavia. Prior to joining the WAG, Radulovic worked as a restorer at the National Art Museum in Belgrade and was self-employed as a restorer.

· The Head of Museum Services manages artwork conservation, exhibition prep-work, maintenance, and the vaults.
