Western Canada and the U.S. Pacific Northwest are rich in culture and home to a historic and thriving fine arts scene. Art Vancouver will provide an opportunity for both local and international artists to gain critical visibility while exposing attendees to original and innovative works by many talented artists.
The Vancouver Convention Centre East Building’s waterfront location provides a stunning and inspirational venue for art enthusiasts and collectors to immerse themselves in a wide array of juried fine arts.
Art Vancouver is being produced by Market Edge Media , with close guidance and help of Lisa Wolfin, an accomplished local Vancouver artist. Her work is collected internationally by corporate collections and private patrons . Ms. Wolfin has brought world-wide exposure to many talented artists in the region through her work developing one of British Columbia’s largest fine art exhibits, housed at the private Hollyburn Country Club. Her admiration of Art Basel, known world-wide as the premiere international art show, was the inspiration for bringing that same level of prestige to the Vancouver art scene. Ms. Wolfin has the added support of another accomplished Vancouver artist, Lori McPhee. Originally from Montreal, Ms. McPhee studied ceramics and painting at British Columbia’s landmark school of art and design, the Emily Carr University. She was Co- owner/curator of Art Concept Gallery representing more than 40 artists, with more than 25 years’ experience exhibiting across North America.
