Saskatoon artist Eli Bornstein and Ontario art critic Gary Michael Dault are among the the latest appointees to the Order of Canada.
Governor General Julie Payette announced 105 appointments to the Order of Canada last week.
The list includes three companions (C.C.), 20 officers (O.C.) and 82 members (C.M.).
Bornstein, C.M, was cited for developing a new artistic style and for the dissemination of writings on art theory.
Dault, C.M., of Napanee, Ont., was cited for his contributions to Canadian arts writing and his commitment to celebrating visual artists.
Recipients will be invited to accept their insignia at a ceremony to be held at a later date.
