Calgary Library Invites Indigenous Proposals
The Calgary Public Library is looking for Indigenous artists to help create a welcoming and educational environment at its new central library.
It is inviting artists from the TsuuT’ina Nation, the Blackfoot Nations (Piikani, Kainai and Siksika), Stoney Nations (Chiniki, Wesley and Bearspaw), and Métis Nation Region (MNA) 3 who reside within Treaty 7 territory (this includes the Calgary area) to create work that activates Indigenous place making. The project is a partnership with the Indigenous Place Making Council of Canada, a non-profit group that works to restore Indigenous presence in communities across the country.
The deadline for digital submissions is June 19.
