Calgary's Arts Commons Names New CEO

Calgary's Arts Commons has named Alex Sarian as its new president and chief executive officer.

Sarian, originally from Toronto, has worked at the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in New York City, where he held several leadership roles over the last seven years, and as education director of the award-winning, off-Broadway MCC Theater.

He has experience as a management consultant to arts organizations and as an adjunct professor at various universities and colleges in New York.

He will start work at Arts Commons, a cultural venue in downtown Calgary, in May.
