Calgary's TrépanierBaer Gallery Partners with Feheley Fine Arts of Toronto
Calgary's TrépanierBaer Gallery and Feheley Fine Arts in Toronto are forming an exhibition partnership.
“We are very excited about this partnership as it provides platforms for satellite shows in each other’s respective cities,” says Pat Feheley, the director of Feheley Fine Arts.
The inaugural collaborative exhibition, Discovering Oscar Cahén (1916-1956), runs April 2 to May 10 at Centre Space, inside Feheley Fine Arts at 65 George St. A highlight will be Cahén’s rarely seen masterpiece, The Warrior.
Cahén has a history with Feheley Fine Arts that traces back to Feheley's father, Budd, a champion of the Canadian abstract artist group Painters Eleven, which Cahén helped found.
“In fact, Pat’s father, Budd, first exhibited The Warrior in his gallery, the Park Gallery, in 1959,” says Yves Trépanier, co-director of TrépanierBaer.
