Granville Island has begun the process of redeveloping the former north building of the Emily Carr University of Art and Design into an arts and innovation hub.
The hub will be a new destination housing a mix of arts-focused and innovative organizations, as well as restaurants and other services.
An initial call for ideas seeks to identify what types of organizations, businesses and activities should be included in the 120,000-square-foot space. A request for expressions of interest will then be issued.
