Call to artists: The Kingston Prize 2019
The biennial Kingston Prize for Canadian portraits will be held in 2019 for the eighth time.
Eligible entries are portraits of Canadians by Canadian artists, whether paintings or drawings.
Entries can be made between Feb. 4 and April 26, 2019. The competition is open to artists aged 18 and over on the deadline date.
The Kingston Prize is $20,000 and there are two honourable mentions of $2,000 each. At each exhibition venue, there is a people's choice award of $1,000.
An opening exhibition by the 30 finalists will be held at the Firehall Theatre in Gananoque, Ont., in October 2019.
