John Hobday Awards
The Canada Council for the Arts has awarded two $10,000 John Hobday Awards to provide mentoring opportunities to managers in professional arts organizations.
Emmy Lee Wall, executive director of Vancouver's Capture Photography Festival, will be mentored by Darcy Killeen, executive director of the Contact Photography Festival in Toronto, on administrative and leadership skills.
Christie Peter Watson, executive director of the Shuswap District Arts Council in the B.C. Interior, will mentor with Cathy Stubington, managing and artistic director of the Runaway Moon Theatre in Enderby, B.C. The project will focus on community-engaged art practice.
