The Canadian Museums Association has announced the winners of the 2024 CMA Awards. This year’s list includes:
Museum Volunteer Awards – Individual Category: Doug Berrigan – Lahave Islands Marine Museum
Museum Volunteer Awards – Group Category: Aging Artfully Advisory Group, Art Gallery of Alberta
Outstanding Achievement – Audience Outreach: Standing In the Doorway: Lived Histories and Experiences of the Chinese Community, Markham Museum and York Region District School Board Museum & Archives
Outstanding Achievement – Social Impact: Wampum : perles de diplomatie, Musée McCord Stewart, developed and co-produced with the musée du quai Branly–Jacques Chirac in Paris.
Outstanding Achievement – Stewardship of Collections: Kinngait Archive, McMichael Canadian Art Collection
Outstanding Achievement – Research (three winners)
- Making Her Mark, Art Gallery of Ontario
- Early Days: Indigenous Art from the McMichael, McMichael Canadian Art Collection
- Points of View: A Guide on Saskatchewan Projectile Points with Indigenous Perspectives, Saskatchewan Archaeological Society
Outstanding Achievement – Exhibitions (three winners)
