Vancouver's Capture Photography Festival is excited to partner with the Magenta Foundation, a Toronto-based charitable arts-publishing house, for the second edition of an incubator program for British Columbia high school students.
The Flash Forward Incubator Program is an online photography project offered outside the regular school curriculum.
It integrates independent and interactive instruction and offers feedback from teachers and mentors
Last year, some 40 students from seven schools across the province took part. This year, 12 schools are participating:
- Argyle (North Vancouver)
- Eric Hamber (Vancouver West Side)
- Gleneagle (Coquitlam)
- GP Vanier (Courtney Comox, Vancouver Island)
- Highland Secondary (Courtney Comox, Vancouver Island)
- John Oliver (East Vancouver)
- Magee (Vancouver West Side)
- Mark R. Isfeld (Courtney Comox, Vancouver Island)
- Point Grey (Vancouver West Side)
- Stratford Hall (East Vancouver)
- Templeton (East Vancouver)
- Thomas Haney (Maple Ridge)
Capture, launched in 2013, presents compelling lens-based art from local and international artists each April at galleries and other venues throughout Metro Vancouver.
