The Capture Photography Festival will run April 3 to April 30 in venues across Metro Vancouver.
Capture Magazine, a free full-colour festival guide, will be available at participating venues across Vancouver on March 15.
Capture director Kate Henderson points to the growing role of photography to critique contemporary experience.
"Now more than ever, photography is being used by artists to investigate issues around gender and identity, power structure, land, place and belonging," says Henderson. "Images are powerful and speak many truths."
