CEO Moves from Glenbow to the Whyte
Donna Livingstone, the president and CEO of the Glenbow in Calgary, will become the new CEO at the Peter and Catharine Whyte Foundation and the Whyte Museum in Banff.
Livingstone, who has worked at the Glenbow for six years, will assume her new job on June 24.
Her time at the Glenbow has been marked by stabilized finances, innovative programming and a new vision for the current building.
"Everything that has propelled Glenbow forward over the past many years has been because of Donna," says Irfhan Rawji, chair of the Glenbow's board of governors. "Donna has been absolutely committed to taking Glenbow into a new and brighter future."
Livingstone will develop a new mandate for the Whyte.
"We are thrilled to welcome Donna," says Marino DiManno, chair of the Whyte's board of directors. "We feel fortunate to have a person of her calibre to lead us in taking the story of the Whyte to a wider audience."
Livingstone says she will look for opportunities to showcase the Whyte to the world.
"The Whyte Museum is a dynamic gathering place for locals and for visitors to connect with the changing face of mountain culture," she says. "I am constantly touched by the remarkable legacy of Peter and Catharine Whyte, and it will be an honour to help carry their story forward. My husband and I have strong connections to Banff, so this will be like coming home."
