Cole Pauls wins Yukon Prize Viewers' Choice Award
Artist Cole Pauls, a 2023 Yukon Prize finalist, has been awarded the inaugural Yukon Prize Casino Mining Viewers’ Choice Award.
An illustrator, printmaker and comic artist from Haines Junction, Yukon, Pauls was chosen for the award by visitors to the 2023 Yukon Prize Finalists’ Exhibition at the Yukon Arts Centre in Whitehorse. Currently living in Vancouver, he holds a fine arts degree in illustration from Emily Carr University.
First presented in 2021, the Yukon Prize for Visual Arts was established in partnership with the Yukon Arts Foundation, the Yukon Arts Centre, Julie Jai and David Trick and volunteers.
2023 is the first year that group has presented the $3,000 Yukon Prize Casino Mining Viewers’ Choice Award.
